Check engine light 1997 grand am?

i have a 1997 jeep grand cherokee all wheel drive 5.2 l v8 that has some issues.. The batteryis constantly getting drained.. the radio does not work.. at all.. Also the check engine liught is on the computer said it was bc of an upper bay 02 sensor....

I replaced the spark plugs and when I cranked 'er up I got a check engine light. I tried the whole take off the negative terminal for 10 minutes thing, but no help. Is there any other way to reset the check engine light?
