How can I change pop up blocker settings?

I clicked Settings and then the Add/Edit Buttons thing and then it had a list of buttons, one of which was the Pop-up blocker thing. I clicked on it hit Add Button then hit Save Changes, but it was exactly the same...I didn't see that it said optional...

I feel like I have some kind of adware that disenables the blocker, but I can't find it. Once a pop-up opens its address changes so fast I can't read what the original was to even attempt to find it and Anti-Spy hasn't helped me get rid of whatever causes...

What should I do? what does it mean ? I keep getting a pop up "yahoo has disabled a program attempting to change your default search settings"? I keep getting a pop up ...show more

Default search change attempt blocked and Search settings change notification bubbles from the systems tray. How do I get these to stop

Add/Edit function from my settings botton on my tool bar. When I go in and selection the button I want to add. When I click Save changes, it does not save.

Yahoo says I have to add "plus." in POP & SMTP settings because email is running so slow from something they did. Can't find where to do this. Not under Tools, Internet Options or anywhere I looked on Control Panel. Going crazy! Can someone...
