How can I delete my yahoo id?

I want to remove my yahoo id from a shared yahoo messenger on a computer, but keep the yahoo account. I just want to remove it from the drop-down menu of id's in the sign-in space when messenger first comes up.

I have some people in my list that become annoying. I can ignore them, but they share my ID with others which is not fine. My ID is a private option. If I don't want to be in some other person's list then it shouldn't. At least if I'm deleting someone...

My original ID was cancelled and the editing rights for the pictures was lost. Messages to the current moderator, who can delete the pictures, go unanswered and his ID is labled as "bounce".
