How can I take music off of my iPod?

I have one ipod that has a lot of music and I want to put it on my other one without deleting any off either.

I have some songs on my old nano that I want to put onto my laptop. But when I plug in the nano, it wont let me drag the songs into iTunes. Is there anyway I can do this? Thanks :)
