How do I find my singing voice?

I've been wanting to find my real singing voice for a while now, however not sure how. I am a 16 year old, male, and never have done much singing wise. Of course the exception when im in the shower singing, but that ranging from opera one day to country...

When i am singing a song i always find myself trying to copy the artist. I can hit the notes but there soft and quiet. How can i find my own unique voice? for singing.
