How do I get my avatar a full body?

okay, so I want to show my avatar's body full way, not just the head. So like maybe at least up to her waist. can anyone tell me how? Do I have to do it from mail, or what should I change the avatar options from? Like I know how to change her look, but...

I know this can be done because I've seen it done before, instead of just the face of their avatar showing, they get the whole body shot, how can I do this?
