How do I send an attachment in email?

I want to be able to send a picture so that they show in the actually email, with out having the recipient download the picture as an attachment on yahoo email. Any advice?

I have been sending individual photographs. I would like to put them into a folder, zip them and send as an attachment. I do not know how to zip. Is there a limit on the amount of data to be contained in the folder?
