How do I switch the gender of my avatar?

by accident, i deleted my e-mail adress. i got a new one but my avatar's gender is totally wrong. PLEAZ HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPP ME.

When the create your own avatar page comes up it shows a male avatar. Then when I click "change gender" it bounces me back to the home page. What in the world is going on? Am I doing something wrong?

I'm a girl, and even though I've done the whole Preferences Change my avatar's gender Switch gender to female ... it still shows as male in my Messenger window. I've gone back and forth a couple times, and it always shows as female. What gives, and how...

I noticed that you can pick your avatar when you sign up. Is there another time when you can switch gender?

I tried the switch gender button and that didn't work, all it did was give the the option to save my Avatar and then click OK or Cancel, both of which brought me back to the avatar homepage. I'm curious, and it's be great if you could help.
