How do i delete my internet history?

I've tried the tools>internet options>delete>history thing. But it only deletes the drop down menu of sites when I go to the url bar. How do I delete the web history that comes up when I click "history?"

Ok I know its tools > clear recent history. But I know it's not ALL deleted because i used a program called "ccleaner". I scaned my pc and all my cookies and history was still there. how do i delete those? Is there a free program I can use...

There is a drop box that comes up when I search for files and folders, I can't highlight and delete, and I can only find ways to clear my internet history, which I already know how to do. I'm using Windows 2000 I think, so the XP solution won't work...

I know how to delete the history for webpages, through Internet options, and cntrl h, but when I do all of that, there are still some pages showing when I hit the drop menu on the back button. How do I get rid of those? Thank you!
