How long does pericoronitis last?

I am a 20 year old male and have had pericoronitis for a week and 3 days i saw the dentist friday morning who prescribed amoxicillin 250 mg 3 times a day I also gargle with hydrogen peroxide every few hours ,it is now monday evening and it is still hurting...

My gum on my right side where my wisdom tooth should be has been really sore. I felt on both sides and I have a tooth further back on the right side so I guess that means my wisdom tooth has came in there. Well now there are these two sores in that area...

My wisdom tooth erupted (bottom left) and I see a bunch of gums jumbled up covering most of the tooth. Is this what Pericoronitis is? It stings a little when I chew on the left side?
