How reliable were the 1997-02 Ford Expedition's?

I currently have a 2001 ford explorer and it's a V8 , and ik the gas will be a lotta $$$$$$$.... So instead of getting a small car , I wanted to see if there are any expeditions or even explorers with v6 engines . Let me know ! Thank you :):)!!!
