How to block a number from calling my home phone?

There is a phone number that has called our land line home phone for 3 days. When I answer, nobody is there. They are calling 7-8 times a day. When I call the number back, a recording comes on saying the number is no longer in service. What can I do...

Does anyone know how to do this? I want to block a number from calling my home phone for free. Is there anyway I can do this?
