How to change the time stamp on outgoing/incoming e-mail?

I regularly communicate with someone in a different time zone. I didn’t know if there was any way to decipher what time they sent you that email with the yahoo time stamp provided. (I was thinking that there might be some kind of formula that one...

When I send or receive an email message it is time stamped with Greenwich England time. The receipent of a sent message receives it with a local time stamp.

For instance...I just got an email. It is not quite 10 pm here but the time on the email says 4:45 am. It has been driving me crazy...

simply i want to have c.s.t. on my time stamp for incoming and out going mail. how do i achieve this? my location on my profile says cst. yet all incoming mail is stamped -7 or -5 hours etc. even from people in my own city.

Is it possible to change the time stamp setting on emails that you've sent? Currently it's on PST time and I'm sending email on Eastern Time.

When I check my yahoo email, my messages always state the incorrect time that the email has arrived in to my inbox. I can't seem to find a way to change this. Is there a way?
