What will I need to connect speakers to my iPod?

These are pretty old speakers which I found in a cupboard. They look pretty decent though. They're Aiwa 3 way twin duct bass reflex system. On the back there is a Black switch with a negative sign above it (-) and a red one with a plus sign above it (+). I have managed to hunt some wires out as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
