How to get into Las Vegas clubs?

We are travelling to Vegas in a few months and the Clubs look awesome. Are some of them VIP Only? If so, how do you get in? Also, Are the queue's long? Is there anyway to get into really nice cool exclusive places without waiting hours?

I want to make the most of a Vegas trip. How do I get on "the list" at the exclusive clubs??
