How should I preserve my oil on glass painting?

As a final project for a painting class, I make 3 oil paintings on panes of glass. The paint is dry now but I would like to preserve them. Is there a kind of epoxy resin that I could pour over top or is there something else I could put on them? I am planning on giving one of them away as a gift and I don't want her to have to put oil on the painting every so often. Any advice would help. Thanks!
