I'm trying to design a simple lab for software usability testing. I want to record the video output from a computer. Is there a good, cheap hardware recorder device I could use? What will I need to edit that video? I'd rather not rely on software installed on the test machine. Each session will be about 30-60 minutes of 1024 x 768 60Hz video on a VGA/D-Sub connector and mono audio from a microphone.
