How to remove 2001 honda civic shocks, struts?

removed the pin and bolt but is still not coming off

i have a 2001 honda civic ex coupe and the front left shock or strut is out and it needs to be replaced but im not sure what the actual name of the part i need is it just a shock or strut i need or is their a specific name for each part like i heared...
