Is Listerine good for your teeth?

I was just wondering because I use Listerine after I brush.

I used it twice a day following the instructions, using it before I brush in the morning and at night. Not only this, but the toothpaste I used was and still using it is Crest 3D white toothpaste. NONE OF THIS STUFF WORKS. You can feel the difference...

If I use regular Listerine which not only would clean my teeth but my gums too, doesn't that defeat the purpose of me having to brush my teeth? Should I still do it? Why or why not?
