Is it possible for me to take online classes?

If so, what are some good online classes? I'm in the 8th grade, and my parents are considering homeschooling/online classes.

I was wondering if it was possible to be enrolled in a public high school, but still take some classes online for credits. Please help!! P.S. And if so...then how??

I know most won't recommend it, but if something suddenly came up in my life, do you think it is possible to take them online?
