How do I reduce swelling from a wasp sting? So yesterday a wasp (not a bee) stung me on my right ring finger and ever since (it's been 26 hours) it's been very swollen, not to mention very painful. I have tried Campho Phenique for the itching, which helped, but it did not bring down the swelling. I have also tried soaking it in baking soda water, applying a baking soda paste, and calamine lotion, none of which have worked. I am also taking Benadryl.
