Running nose whenever weather is cold?

I run track, and today I was running a mile (that is equal to 4 laps around the field). Half way through my nose started to get gross and stuffy. It's not like it was cold weather either. I notice this in other runners too at times. Why is that?

i know it's weird and because i am in california its been 90 degrees ever since spring, the weather here is ridiculous, ugh and my nose is still running in a 90 degree day with no clouds and just sunshine.. weird much?
