Should I get an Lcd tv or an led tv?

Is it really worth it to get a LED TV? LCD's are becoming very reasonable but now with LED TV's I am worried about a LCD Tv being outdated soon.

Now I'm on a bit of a budget, less than £200 but ideally closer to £100 would be better... So here we go: Its to play my ps3 on... Preferably bigger than 19" but I'm not after a HUGE screen, or even a large screen, below average is alright...

im planning to get a fairly small hd tv for my bedroom. im looking somewhere in the 23-26 inch range, and im thinking of getting either vizio or samsung. What is the difference between LCD and LED? and which is better?

I'm just getting a 32" TV for my bedroom, it will be used almost exclusively for my PS3. Is it worth paying about £80 extra for a LED TV? Are there any benefits except for lower power consumption and smaller size?
