What is the white dot on my iris near the white part of the eye?

It is a dot, its small and white. Yesterday I started feeling as if there was something in my eye ( Wear contacts) I just thought there was something under my contact. My started to turn red on the side were the white dot is. Today it was still there and my eye is still red. My vision is still good except that feeling of having something in my eye is still there.
