What are the best states in the US to visit and why?

k so we're looking to visit a state in the U.S but we want a fun, cool place with a whole bunch of things besides...california, texas, florida, nevada thanks =) so like could you give me an example like Massachutsetts - amusement parks, etc

I'm thinking of visiting for a month and taking a Bloodhound bus across a few states, which are the best to go to for culture plz?

Besides the usual Florida, California, and New York, where are some other places that are nice to visit? I was thinking somewhere really beautiful and green, or somewhere with a lovely beach. Remember, only places within the United States. Thank you!
