Preferably looking for independent small PR firms that are highly recommended and have strong connections with advertising / branding publications.

PBworks is doing well selling to agencies; I'd like to see what kind of ideas the Quora community has for how others can reach agencies as well.

Looking for some personal recommendations of agencies (Probably consumer PR) in the Leeds/Yorkshire region.  Who's the best?

In some pitches, that criteria is explicit in the RFP process and in others it is opaque.  Additionally, there's the public reasons versus the real in-house reasons, with agencies left to scratch their heads on some of the decisions made by prospects...

I've put these questions to the main trade body - the PRCA - and it says they have 294 agency members but cannot say what % that is of all agencies. They also say they don't collect income data

I've asked a few people I know who work in PR why the multiplication factor is 3 rather than any other number, and so far none have been able to explain the rationale behind this.
