Why do you think people stop liking what they like b/c other ppl tell them too?

I mean what is the point in liking something if one person's preferences aren't like yours and they tell you not to like it so you don't? I just don't understand why ppl let other ppl control what they like.... If this has haapened to you plz share with...

What would you think of putting "stalls" in the parking lots to MAKE people park correctly? I just came from the grocery store. There was a lady TOTALLY blocked in by 4 ppl not parking correctly. She couldn't get out at all!!!!! So there she sits waiting!
