What do you need to celebrate kwanzaa?

I hear Kwanzaa started out in Africa to celebrate the harvest. But Kwanzaa did not come from Africa some guy made the holiday up in America.

I know Christians celebrate Christmas and Jewish people celebrate Hanukkah. So what religon are people who celebrate Kwanzaa?? I've always wondered.

I am just curious as to whether people celebrate both holidays if they are part of their tradition, of if you only celebrate Kwanzaa.
