What does "mean what we take them to mean" mean?

This is the whole line; "moral judgements must mean what we take them to mean; and what we take them to mean, is such that they do not mereley make autobiographical claims but a sort of claim which is being rejected by someone who utters a contrary moral judgement. Since my natural language isn't english, i don't really understand what they mean by 'what we take them to mean' means.. to put it very clearly ;)
