What is Google Finance?

Do people at Finance even consider Software Engineers for non software engineering roles (like Analysts, etc.)? Is there a huge difference in pay? Is a BS in Computer Science sufficient? Do I necessarily need an MBA? How does the interview process...

I've found Google Finance lacking, and in the two years I've used it they've made virtually no enhancements. What are some quality alternatives that will allow me to track my portfolio online?

This is the example: http://www.google.com/finance?cid=26436 So does that mean the div/yield is 0.35/2.58= 0.1356? Because that sounds a little steep.

I don't want heavy languages like Java, C#, even VB or PHP, I want something light like auto-it but it's not easy to do some stuffs with auto-it like parsing a Google Finance file. Also like autoit I want something that can create a Visual Interface...

As of 1pm EST on 5/23/12 both list a share price of ~31.80. However, Google Finance lists a market cap of ~68B while Yahoo Finance lists a market cap of ~87B. This implies that that the two sites are using a different # for number of outstanding shares...

There's a huge difference between Google's (https://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE:TE… and Yahoo's (http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=TEF) stated P/E ratio, 4.78 and 24.8, respectively. I'm guessing that even if one has a more updated earnings report...
