How to become a firefighter?

i am a senior and about to graduate and i am set on becoming a firefighter no matter what. these are my options so far. go to 2 years of community college then the navy, go to 4 years of community college and major in fire science or just go to the navy and do college credits there. can anyone give me advice on what i should do. one more thing is it eaiser to become a police officer or firefighter. i also want to know if the navy will help me become a firefighter.
