What is the best campground in Michigan next to water?

I am looking for some good places to do calm water (no big rapids) kayaking in Michigan. Preferably near a campground. Does anyone know of any good spots?

My friends and i are debating if Michigan water tastes better than Wisconsin water. I think it does. Wisconsin water is full of crap. Michigan water is actually clean, hence "pure michigan". What do you think?
