Whats The Swine Flu?

i was told recently that the flu kills people, but so does the swine flu?

I know swine flu has more then one symptom, but whats the very first sign of swine flu? do you think it will keep spreading and spreading and most people might get it? I live in New Zealand and its spreading here big time
