Where do viruses come from?

How did viruses first come into existence. To me it seems so strange, not only the way it looks, but it's function as well. Were they created on Earth where they have come to evolve, or originate from space?

Do all viruses come from the internet?

i, have a lot of anti spyware and anti virus programs. i run them and let them scan my computer twice a day, and each time the find about 7 infected files together! how can i stop this? and where do the infected files come from?

Really need help on this please. Also can you get viruses from messenger or in some sites like asian west. Thanks a lot for your answers.

i tend to get them and malicious malware too and i have to run both scans every night, malwarebyte and avg, where is it coming from? and how can i make sure i dont get them?

Did viruses come before other life forms, and others evolved from viruses. Or did they break off from already existing life form and became what they are ? Is there any research done on this ?
