Why can i only do video calls on msn?

Hi i installed a old logitech quickcam webcam and i tried to video call on msn and it wouldnt work? It still comes up with the toolbar and i can film myself and whatever but it dosnt even come up with the icon and when it does and i click on it it comes...

on windows live messeger it will not allow me to send or recieve invatations for webcam it only allows me do video calls ...dont know how to change it

i have a wired logitech microphone and it just stops working and i have to exit the call and start a new one its really annoying to me and my friend does anyone know how to fix it

please help! i need it in the next couple of hours!
