Why cant I sign on to MSN messenger?? :)?

It keeps on showing the trouble shoot deal when i sign into my msn messenger. On the trouble shoot window it says puts the "!" on Host and something.... I feel it might be an anti virus system that i have blocking it. If so how do I un block it??? :) Thanks :) Love Light and Peace :)
