Why did my emails disappear?

This only happens on emails containing pictures received from another Yahoo user. I am able to forward emails with pictures received from AOL, Comcast, etc. accounts. On emails from other Yahoo users, all that appears is a box with a red X in it. I have...

Why is it, when I forward emails, do the pictures disappear from what I am forwarding leaving only the words? How can I rectify this? Where do I look....tools?....settings? Please advise.

About 30 emails came into my inbox between noon 11/15 and 6am 11/16 have disappeared - all emails prior to and after that are still there - ????.

I configured my Outlook Express to use my Yahoo account. Now, when I check my email through the browser, all my emails received prior to downloading the Yahoo account emails are gone.

All of a sudden my current emails keep disappearing. It keeps going back to October 18, 2010. Everything after that is gone. I relog in once or twice and they come back. What is wrong? I'm afraid I'm not going to get them back one day.

I had 4 emails this morning. I read and deleted them. I refreshed my browser. But, the number is still "4" next to the mail alert logo.
