Why does my CD player turn off when I turn it up too high?

Every time i turn up the volume on my cd player it says protect and stops any music volume coming out of the speakers, how can i fix it?

Everything is hooked up perfectly and I replaced the cd player already. I've also looked for a shorted wire behind the dash, but nothing...

I replaced the old stereo because the c.d. player wouldn't play unless you turn the headlights on now it's totally backwards! Please I need help.

I don't remember it ever doing this before. I went to start my car today after not driving it for a couple months, and I noticed that after I turned the car off and shut the door the display didn't turn off. I really have no idea what would cause this...

The stock head unit dimmed when I turned on the lights, and according to the manual for the Pioneer, it is supposed to dim as well. So far as I can see, the only wire that is not hooked up in the harness is for a wired remote.

it's a manual 06 2dr civic lx if that helps. while I'm driving the cd player will turn off by itself after a few minutes, and then turn back on, stay on for about 2 seconds, and then turn back off, and will keep doing it repeatedly until I get sick of...

the only way i can turn it off i have to hold the power button then it will turn off...but ill like it to turn off with the car...can sumbody please help me!...
