Why is my yahoo page not on a full screen?

With My Yahoo as my home page when I use web search instead of full page listing I get a centered listing with a listing of Yahoo garbage on the left side of the screen. When I open a site it is centered and not full screen. What has Yahoo done now?

I don't know what happened. I went back to my yahoo internet connection after upgrading to the new Windows 8 version, and the page just was too small to see well. It has been cropped to the center but about 1/2 the size of the original full-screen view...

Today the Yahoo screen lengthened to fill the entire screen and I need to know how to get it to go back to the smaller size. I already checked change screen size and it didn't work. Also my Google address box has disappeared.
