Why won't the key work on msn?

I have a Dell laptop with a webcam already integrated in it. Whenever I open my MSN Messenger my webcam won't work, it shows as if I don't have a webcam. I checked the tools setting and went on my audio and video setup to make sure everything was right...

i have had msn working fine on this laptop for ages and all of a sudden it wont work on my account. i click sign in and it says 'signing in' for ages and does nothing else. i then click cancel and it freezes my whole computer and i have to end task....
