Can we connect an AV input to an HDMI output?

My tv has only one rca input, so I am curious if it's possible to get a cable that connects to my dvd players rca output, and plug it into my tv's hdmi - is this at all possible? I don't expect hd quality, just looking for a way to connect the dvd player...
