I've received copies of my great great grandfather's death certificate and social security application and neither have his parent's names. I've done a little bit of research and found out that obtaining a birth certificate for the year range in which he was born is not guaranteed. I'd hate to spend the money on a birth certificate and risk not receiving anything at all. Do you have any suggestions as to how else I'd be able to find out his parent's names?
