How to delete MSN messenger block list?

I really need to block a certain someone on MSN messenger but the only options they have only let me delete them from my friends list, but I need to BLOCK them to prevent them from ever sending me messages again. I swear they make these IM programs more...

Even if you delete the address and put the address as a "spam" they still can see you on the messenger if they did not delete you from their messenger list. How can you appear invesible to them when you are available? In other words, how can...

Ive tried everything! Everytime i try and delete someone from my friends list on Yahoo messenger, i get an error saying failure to remove friend. I have a Mac so i dont know what to do. I tried uninstalling the program and re installing, didnt work....

From my understanding this just seems pretty pointless.... why delete someone? all this does is remove them from the list they can still see your status and IM you. Of course I will not be messaging this person until I find out why they would delete...
