Is ie8 actually much slower than ie7?

IE7 carried over a lot of IE6's baggage. IE8 was a respectable improvment for IE in regards to supporting web standards. If you're hoping on the bandwagon of no longer supporting IE6 (approx 12% market share*), should you also ditch IE7 (8%) in the process...

ihave ie6 people tell me to get ie8 do i need ie7 before ie8 or just get ie8 what do you recommend please thank

I had IE7 and no problems but with IE8 I am having problems with cookies. I have set the Security to Medium and Low but this still shows up as my cookies are disabled. Why?? Ramesh

Yahoo suggested I download IE8 and I did. Now I wish I had not! Anyone know how I can get back to IE7?

IE6 may well be gone by 2014..possibly followed by IE7. What pros and cons do you experience or have experienced using IE8 ?? I know there are other browsers out there but they are not going to go away.Thanks in anticipation..

As a developer, I must test all applications on all major browsers, and at all major resolutions. The problem, (as usual), is with IE. How can I keep/install IE7, 8 and 9 on the same machine?
