Is it possible to get the "old" MSN messenger back?

I downloaded the new MSN messenger so it would stop asking me to, but it made my computer so slow. It would freeze constantly so I removed it. So now how can I get the old MSN back?

if i download the newest msn messenger will it get rid of the one i already have or will i have to delete the old messenger to get the new one?
