Looks like I will have an extended, 18 hour, layover in Madrid (mid October 2012). At first I was dreading this, but then I realized that it gave me an evening to go out and about and I'm sort of looking forward to it. I've been to Madrid a few times, but that was eons ago in the 90's so I'm totally unfamiliar with what I should be doing while in town. Edit: I'm told by our halcyon member, Martin Strohmeier, that "near Barajas" need not apply thanks to Madrid's outstanding metro connection...
