Where can i burn dvds?

It used to work like a charm. It isn't that old and I keep getting the same error message when I burn / attempt to burn a DVD. It has no trouble with burning mp3s but no longer successfully burns movies. Any ideas?

I want to know if I can still burn CDs and DVDs if I uninstall Lightscribe software since from what I researched its only for labeling discs. But I want to make sure if I can still burn CD/DVDs without Lightscribe.

My computer has a dvd/cd-rw drive, I realize I can burn CDs but dose that also mean I can burn DVDs? Just like to know before I go out and buy blank DVDs! Thanks.

I have the Nero but nothing writes to the dvds i have tried dvd-r and +r. My Drive on the outside only says Compact disc and when i go into system info under DVD/CD-ROM it says COMBO IDE5232CO should i just buy an external dvd burner?
