Why does my name show up as false whenever I send an email?

My email address shows an incorrect name. It shows the name of a former friend, however I have had this email address for several years now. I have went into my account and changed the name however it still remains the wrong name. How can I change it...

When I send an email to others, my full name shows up ext to my email address. I do not want this to happen, please let me know what I can do to change it. Thanks

When i send an e-mail from yahoo it shows it is from my first and last name, I went to my email pref. to fix the problem but i do not have my frst or last name listed. If i never listed it why is it showing up?

I just sep up a yahoo account and sent two emails, but in the sender sections, it just say "me" for the sender. Why is this? and how will people know who sent it?

I have first and last names entered in my contacts list but when I send an email I only want the person's email address with NO name showing in the To section of the email. Help?
